With only one more LEGO Formula 1 collection release scheduled for 2025 so far, where could the racing partnership head next?
Formula 1 is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year, with the 2025 season officially kicking off this weekend in Australia, where 10 teams will be battling it out for pole position. LEGO racing fans have also been able to get in on the driving action recently, with multiple sets having been released over the last few months across a variety of themes.
However, while the countdown clock on the LEGO Formula 1 landing page has nearly reached zero, only one more launch is scheduled for 2025 so far. 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars will be the first of this year’s planned CMF series, due to launch on May 1.

Beyond that, no additional LEGO Formula 1 models have been announced so far, but that’s likely to change in the months to come. Back in November 2024, the LEGO Group and Formula 1 announced a multi-year strategic partnership, with numerous sets, events, experiences and digital content planned.
The majority of those have already come to fruition, with just 71049 F1 Collectible Race Cars left to close the gap. That could suggest that more racing sets might be announced soon, but there’s been no official word to date regarding any potential future product launches.

That’s likely to change though, as the Formula 1 season continues to roll out in 2025. So far, the Formula 1 approach has been applied to a number of different themes such as City, Speed Champions and DUPLO, so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that more may follow suit.
Last year’s overarching Space theme took a very similar approach, with Friends, Art and DREAMZzz all taking in part in the crossover. That approach could well be what’s in the pipeline for the remainder of 2025 and the potential for LEGO Formula 1 to expand into further themes could bring all sorts of exciting set releases.
For now though, racing fans can pick up plenty of LEGO Formula 1 models to assemble, while they watch the thrilling opening stages of the motorsport kicking into high gear starting this weekend.
