LEGO Star Wars Gingerbread AT-AT alternate builds are still coming in thick and fast, but this timely Star Trek take is probably the best we’ve seen so far.
Whether you only watch Star Trek at Christmas, don’t have the budget or space for the new giant Icons Enterprise or just enjoy the delicious irony of turning a Star Wars set into a Star Trek model, Brad Barber’s USS Gingerprise should be next on your build list if you own a copy of 40806 Gingerbread AT-AT Walker.
The prolific alternate builder has already turned the seasonal Imperial walker into a Millennium Falcon, Venator and even a Stargate ship, but this is surely his piece de resistance as far as cross-franchise pollination is concerned. It’s very timely too, arriving hot on the heels of the reveal of the much bigger and pricier 10356 USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D.
While this one is more accessible if you already have the AT-AT in hand, you’re going to be waiting a while if you don’t: the 697-piece LEGO Star Wars set is finally available on back order again at LEGO.com in the UK after weeks temporarily out of stock, but it won’t arrive until New Year’s Eve, completely bypassing the festive period. It’s even worse in the US, where it’s due to ship in 60 days – which takes us into 2026.
The LEGO Group may have misjudged demand for 40806 Gingerbread AT-AT Walker, but take solace if you haven’t got one yet that there’ll be plenty of building and rebuilding to get your money’s worth from it in 2026. You’ll find the instructions for the USS Gingerprise over on Rebrickable, where there are also alternate builds including a gingerbread N-1 Starfighter, TIE Advanced, Razor Crest, X-wing and more up for grabs.
