Inaccurate room in LEGO Marvel 76269 Avengers Tower explained

One of the many rooms in 76269 Avengers Tower is oddly inaccurate and that's a choice made by the LEGO Marvel designers for a simple reason.

76269 Avengers Tower has many rooms in its tall interior. There's a workshop for Iron Man, the lobby where Loki escaped with the Tesseract in an alternate timeline and a containment chamber to pose Loki and Black Widow in – which should be a lot higher than it is.

Those familiar with Avengers Tower and the scene that this room is based on will know that this jail cell should be in a LEGO Helicarrier and not in Avengers Tower. Thankfully, designer Justin Ramsden has explained its inclusion in the set's new designer video.

“Moving on, even higher we’ve got a containment chamber and I know this for most fans is in the Helicarrier but we really wanted to put a jail in the set,” explains Ramsden.

While it may be inaccurate to Avengers Tower, the set is a What If...? scenario anyway – blending multiple stories and design elements of the tower’s iterations into one building. As suggested in our review, it doesn't take away from the overall quality of 76269 Avengers Tower in any case.

With numerous villains in 76269 Avengers Tower, as well as those from 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum and 76178 Daily Bugle should you combine the trio into one street, having a place to lock them up is likely going to be useful for the heroes. However, the chamber is certain to fill up quickly.

76269 Avengers Tower launches on November 24, 2023, for £429.99 / $499.99 / €499.99 and you can read our review while you wait for launch by clicking here.
