LEGO Technic recently welcomed two versions of the same Mercedes Formula 1 car – and there are deals to be had on both of them.

First things first, let's take a look at 42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance. Usually retailing for £189.99, you can snap it up for £20 less at Zavvi right now, saving you 11% overall. The LEGO Technic 1:8 scale build doesn't just look good with its authentic livery details, but also includes realistic features such as steering that can be controlled either by using the steering wheel or with the knob on top of 42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance.
Even under the hood, the LEGO Technic team has made every effort to pay attention to detail, meaning you can remove the engine cover to reveal the differential and the six-cylinder engine, complete with moving pistons. 42171 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance also features an opening wing inspired by the real-world car's DRS.
If you don't want to spend quite as much or don't need as much detail on your brick-built Mercedes W15, 42165 Mercedes-AMG F1 W14 E Performance Pull-Back might be more your speed. Also discounted by 11%, the smaller build is geared more towards younger builds, with a pull-back function that sends the LEGO Technic set flying almost as fast as the real thing.
