Following hot on the heels of last year’s green LEGO Technic variant comes an official reveal for 42196 Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica Orange.
2024 is already shaping up to be a massive year for LEGO Technic releases, with no less than eight new sets having launched on March 1. Recent rumours suggest that many more models may be arriving in the months to come, with one of those new builds now having been revealed.
Thanks to both an Australian LEGO Certified Store and the official Building Instructions page, we have our first look at 42196 Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica Orange. The 806-piece LEGO Technic set is listed on Bricks Megastore as launching on April 1 priced at $84.99 AUD, which should translate to £46.99 / $49.99 / €52.99, matching last year’s
In fact, other than the striking colour scheme swap, both LEGO Technic models appear to be identical, right down to brick-built V10 engines, opening doors and steering. Measuring 8cm high, 28cm long and 12cm wide, 42196 Lamborghini Huracán Tecnica Orange also matches the exact same size as 2023’s classic green variant.
We suspect that LEGO Technic fans will undoubtedly want to add both builds to their racing collections, with two affordable models that complement each other as impressive display pieces.
