LEGO NINJAGO to complete new forms this summer

LEGO NINJAGO's new Draconus Forms are getting a much-needed upgrade this summer, and completing your existing collection won't be hard.

LEGO NINJAGO's latest gimmick will continue into the summer as the Draconus Forms have been confirmed to return in the theme's next wave of sets. All six original ninja characters featured these forms in the early 2026 range of models, featuring a new mask piece, wings, shoulder armour and a tail.

We've since seen Draconus Form in the series, revealing that there's one aspect of Draconus Form that has not been depicted in physical form. The early 2026 minifigures are missing the draconic claws in place of the standard minifigure hands. They even feature this detail in promotional material, such as the new season's poster.

Thankfully, this won't be the case for long as multiple of the summer 2026 sets are confirmed to include these claws. These claws now appear in gold, instead of the different colours they are featured in the series, but it gets fans one step closer to completing this minifigure collection.

You might think there's some bad news in that anyone who has already completed the full Draconus Form range may need to collect the minifigures all over again. Thankfully, the LEGO NINJAGO team has an affordable solution.

The 81-piece 71862 Lloyd’s Dragon Mech Battle Pack, which is likely to cost £8.99 / $9.99 / €9.99, includes one pair of claws. You can simply pick up this set multiple times to get as many of the claw elements as you need to finish your Draconus Forms.

It's an elegant and affordable solution, and these parts may well end up on Pick a Brick in the future as well. That's only speculation on our part, but either way it will be easier than having to buy multiple of a larger model just for a handful of minifigure accessories.

These claw pieces can be found across several other NINJAGO Summer 2026 sets, and you may amass quite a few just by collecting the new models as normal. Here's a reminder of everything confirmed for NINJAGO this year. Stay tuned, and we'll let you know when we know more about the summer wave.
