LEGO Marvel said to gain new Spider-Verse expansion soon

An expansion to the first LEGO Spider-Verse set is rumoured for later this year, but not based on the films and offering a living space for Spider-Man.

According to mtdbricks on Instagram, who has been reliable for LEGO Marvel news before for Thor minifigures, a Spider-Man figure and more, claims to have more information on another upcoming LEGO Marvel set following this morning's list.

They state that 76317 Peter Parker's Apartment is coming on August 1 for $49.99 and this set was previously rumoured to include 394 pieces. They also mention that it is going to be compatible with 76311 Miles Morales vs. The Spot, which has exposed studs on top and was theorised to be the start of a mini Marvel modular buildings range.

They state that while the rumoured set should be compatible with the Spider-Verse model, it will be based on the comics instead of any movies. This would follow the first build of Peter Parker's apartment in 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown, which used 1,004 pieces to build a small Sanctum Sanctorum, a two-storey apartment and a pizza takeaway.

Instead, based on the rumour, 76317 Peter Parker's Apartment would use 394 pieces to build up on 76311 Miles Morales vs. The Spot with 14 studs of width and six for its depth. There's no limit to the height, but it would assumedly be shaped similarly to the lower floor, maybe with an added fire escape similar to 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown.

Considering that 76311 Miles Morales vs. The Spot includes an additional police car, 394 pieces is a lot for the rumoured 76317 Peter Parker's Apartment to work with and suggests that its interior will be detailed. That's as long as this rumour is accurate though and you should take it with a pinch of salt just in case. For its minifigures, Peter Parker would be a must and some exclusive villains might help to justify the rumoured price of $49.99.
