LEGO Marvel X-Mansion Easter egg is deeper than you thought

In the days following the reveal of LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion, it turns out that one Easter egg goes much deeper than first thought.

LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion is packed with references and as reviews surface online, including our own, one Easter egg has been spotted to be much more in-depth than initially expected. Lognacio on X (formerly Twitter) has spotted that the X-ray scan of Wolverine's arm doesn't just reference his adamantium skeleton, but the skeletal arm may look odd too.

It turns out that the arm X-ray shows the old LEGO skeleton design over the updated iteration, with arms on hinges rather than ball joints. In hindsight, the presence of a band in the wrist and the extended shape of the claw hand makes it obvious, though we'd note that the old LEGO skeleton arms were straight and not angled as standard minifigure arms are.

It makes sense to depict Wolverine in this way since the character is as old as he is, despite the fact that his first minifigure debuted after the LEGO skeleton arms had changed to the new design. Still, it's another fun reference from the 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion design team and it will be interesting to see whether or not any more Easter eggs pop up in the weeks before launch.

76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion releases to LEGO Insiders on November 1 and widely on November 4 for £289.99 / $329.99 / €329.99.
