LEGO Fortnite could expand with Marvel Battle Pass and Disney outfits soon

There were many Fortnite reveals at D23 that could bring a wealth of new content to LEGO Fortnite, including several new LEGO Styles.

As part of the Disney Experiences panel earlier this morning, a segment was dedicated to Fortnite and Epic Games’ partnership with Disney, revealing outfits for Disney villains, Marvel characters, Pixar icons and more.

Those who missed out on the live stream within Fortnite will have another chance to watch it at 9:00am ET (or around 2:00pm UK time) as it seems plans have changed and the island will no longer be available on loop until August 16. You should still earn the free Peelverine Back Bling and XP for watching it for 10 minutes though.

The biggest news was the announcement of the teased Marvel season starting on August 16 and its various outfits as part of the 950-V-Buck Battle Pass.

The Battle Pass’ outfits include Gwenpool, War Machine, Peelverine, Emma Frost, Captain Jonesy, Mysterio, Shuri, and Doctor Doom unlocked via Battle Pass quests in September.

The description for the trailer specifically mentions that rewards will work in LEGO Fortnite so expect LEGO styles for all these outfits. The current Battle Pass has a LEGO build too, so we might see a Marvel model to unlock and display in our worlds.

We’ve already had LEGO Star Wars content in LEGO Fortnite and Marvel is definitely not out of the question now. Also announced were outfits of Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook and Maleficent, all of whom have physical minifigures for matching LEGO Styles.

The Incredibles are coming to Fortnite too with Mrs. Incredible, Mr. Incredible and Frozone receiving outfits later this year. They have physical minifigures for LEGO Styles, though LEGO styles for them have not been confirmed.

Two more Star Wars outfits coming to Fortnite were revealed as well, including IG-11, Moff Gideon as well as a Grogu Back Bling.

IG-11 has a LEGO figure, but it’s not the same as standard minifigures and may not have a LEGO Style unless the LEGO Fortnite team is open to expanding what can and can't be a LEGO Style. Moff Gideon will likely have a LEGO Style matching his minifigure in 75386 Paz Vizsla and Moff Gideon Battle.

While much of the panel focused on new experiences coming to the Disney Parks, the Disney Experiences Showcase proved to be an exciting time for Fortnite and LEGO Fortnite enthusiasts. Later today, the last round of panels at D23 will be held, including one revealing an array of LEGO Pixar shorts at 5:00pm PT.
