Looking to get your hands on the latest LEGO Disney gift-with-purchase while spending as close to the threshold as possible? Here are five new or retiring sets that should fit the bill…
40774 Classic Animation Scenes is the best LEGO Disney GWP of 2025, and up there with the very best free gifts of the year overall, and is currently available at LEGO.com with all orders above £115 / $130 / €130. And while there are plenty of heavy hitters that will easily qualify for the buildable TV and its three swappable displays, it’s that time of year where you might be saving most of your LEGO budget for Black Friday.
And if that is the case, what you really need is the ability to nip in to LEGO.com, grab 40774 Classic Animation Scenes while spending as little as possible, and get out again. (That’ll make it all feel a bit better on the wallet.) There are obviously plenty of combos of smaller sets that will do the trick, but in the interests of efficiency here are five quick ways to hit the required spend while maximising returns.
LEGO Disney 40774 Classic Animation Scenes review
75639 The Going Merry Pirate Ship

We say ‘maximising returns’ because at this price point, most of your options will likely be available discounted through third-party retailers at some stage (even if not right now). So the best sets to consider are those which see less frequent discounts, or are pretty new on the scene, like 75639 The Going Merry Pirate Ship. At £119.99 in the UK, this just ekes over the required threshold for the Disney GWP – and given it’s good value already at RRP, you won’t feel too bad about not getting a discount.
10361 Holiday Express Train (and track)

The newest suggestion on this list is 2025’s Winter Village set 10361 Holiday Express Train, a 956-piece update to 2016’s 10254 Winter Holiday Train. If you’re keen to get your hands on it in time for Xmas, this is a great time to buy when you consider the value of the Disney GWP (it’s going for about £30 on BrickLink from UK sellers). 10361 only comes in at £109.99, so a few quid short of the threshold, but adding on 60205 Tracks will get you there while also expanding your layout options for the train.
21343 Viking Village

One of two retiring LEGO sets in contention here, 21343 Viking Village clocks in at £124.99, or just a little bit over the threshold for 40774 Classic Animation Scenes. It’s easy to swallow that extra £10 outlay though given this Ideas release is already great value at full price (with 2,103 pieces and four Viking minifigures in the box), and that time is rapidly running out to add it to your collection…
75428 Battle Droid with STAP

Discounts on this LEGO Star Wars summer 2025 set have been pretty tricky to come by so far, so if you’re looking for the best way to offset 75428 Battle Droid with STAP’s relatively high asking price, you could do worse than using it to claim a Disney gift-with-purchase currently worth around £30 (as previously mentioned). Even if you don’t fancy keeping hold of it, you can always sell it to offset the price of the buildable B1.
31109 Pirate Ship (and a minifigure)

A Creator 3-in-1 set languishing in the last-chance saloon, 31109 Pirate Ship is finally sailing off shelves at the end of 2025 after half a decade in production. It retails for £114.99, which you’d think might be enough to qualify for 40774 Classic Animation Scenes all on its own, but no: that penny does make all the difference. Toss in a
LEGO Disney 40774 Classic Animation Scenes is free with all orders above £115 / $130 / €130 at LEGO.com and in LEGO Stores from October 28 to November 11, or while stocks last.
