A new LEGO Architecture is ready to whisk you away to Japan, now available to buy on the official LEGO website and physical stores.
Japan's biggest castle just got a lot smaller, in this 2,125-piece LEGO Architecture set. 21060 Himeji Castle showcases the various levels and sloping hill of the iconic structure, surrounded by cherry blossom trees and shrubs.
Every turret and walkway that winds through the castle has been faithfully recreated, as well as tiny details of the interior that can be seen even after the building is finished by lifting off the roof. Plus, you can decide the season that you put 21060 Himeji Castle in, depending on whether you use pink spring blossoms or evergreen leaves.
The real-life castle is a Japanese national treasure and a World Heritage Site, located in the Hy?go Prefecture of Japan. Made out of a combination of wood and white plaster, the grey, white, and sand-coloured building has been recreated in muted colours of LEGO elements. First built back in 1333, it's a long-standing example of traditional Japanese architecture and has been the subject of several faithful restorations.
The final display is 32cm wide, making it an ideal model for a desk or shelf, especially for a lover of Japanese culture. LEGO Architecture 21060 Himeji Castle is available to buy now in the UK and Europe for £139.99 / $159.99 / €159.99, both online at LEGO.com and at physical LEGO stores.
