Even if you’re not a fan of the movie, 21341 Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage can make a great companion piece to several LEGO models.
While the most recently-revealed LEGO Ideas set is certainly an exciting prospect for Hocus Pocus fans and Disney completionists, there’s also an even broader appeal. Most of the set’s 2,316 pieces are used to make a large, detailed medieval-looking cottage. For the most part, all of the explicit visual references to Hocus Pocus are on the inside, making the cottage model a natural fit into any medieval or castle themed LEGO display.
21341 Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage would be right at home next to several current LEGO sets, and could serve as a bit of a nostalgia boost for anyone hoping to relive the LEGO Castle glory days. Here are a few sets we think pair really nicely with the latest from LEGO Ideas.
21325 Medieval Blacksmith

Another LEGO Ideas set, this is probably the most appropriate sister set for your Hocus Pocus cottage. This blacksmith building is at a very similar scale to the witches’ cottage, with close to the same amount of pieces. While the cottage has a much more run-down look than the other Ideas set, they could both convincingly be from the same time period.
This is the closest set in terms of overall style, and if 21341 Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage sells well enough, medieval-style buildings at this scale could become a more regular occurrence from the LEGO Group.
10305 Lion Knights’ Castle

When it comes to LEGO castles, you’re not getting any better than this. One of the biggest and most impressive LEGO Icons sets available right now is the infamous Lion Knights’ Castle, which is a staple for any burgeoning medieval LEGO collection.
A derelict cottage full of witches would be a perfect location for a side-quest that any knight or wizard from the castle could embark upon. The level of detail is very high in both of the models, making for a cohesive and realistic look when displayed together.
31120 Medieval Castle

A more budget-friendly castle than our previous entry, this set nonetheless combines perfectly with 21341 Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage. With the large scale of the Hocus Pocus cottage, it’ll be a little harder to believe that this Creator 3-in-1 set is a full-on castle, but it makes a convincing outpost.
The alternate models also pair nicely with the witches’ cottage. The tall tower could be used as a wizard’s tower, set opposite the witches’ abode in a magical rivalry.
11033 Creative Fantasy Universe

If you want to get really creative with your Hocus Pocus set, look no further than this LEGO Classic set. With a whopping 1,800 bricks to freely build anything you choose, you can build anything you want to go along with your medieval cottage. The selection of parts in this set is themed around fantasy stories, which fits Hocus Pocus perfectly.
