Should the LEGO X-Mansion be displayed next to fellow Marvel modulars or modular buildings?

The first reviews for LEGO Marvel 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion offer an idea of the latest Marvel modular's scale next to other buildings.

76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion has been fully revealed, unveiling all its various references and leaving time for people to share their opinions, both good and bad. Thanks to a new review from LEGO YouTuber Solid Brix Studios, we can now see 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion next to a number of similar buildings.

First, he did a comparison of 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion with two sets from the LEGO modular building, 10270 Bookshop and 10243 Parisian Restaurant. The layout of the LEGO Marvel set means it doesn't blend quite as well as it could, with the X-Mansion being set back on the base plate further than the two modular buildings.

The floors are also slightly narrower in 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion, meaning the LEGO Marvel set sits a lot shorter than those from the Modular Building Collection.

Of course, 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion wasn't necessarily intended to blend with the Modular Building Collection. It's part of the growing LEGO Marvel modular series, following 76269 Avengers Tower76218 Sanctum Sanctorum, and 76178 Daily Bugle.

Solid Brix Studios has also placed the X-Mansion next to the Avengers Tower and the Sanctum, where it fits in more smoothly. Indeed, the various fights and characters from different eras of Marvel make for a dynamic and seamless display that will surely only be made better when the Daily Bugle is added too.

While 76294 X-Men: The X-Mansion is still slightly set back when compared to the front of 76218 Sanctum Sanctorum but the different shapes of the buildings mean it's far less noticeable. That answers the question of where to slot the upcoming X-Mansion into your displays: certainly choose the Marvel modulars for a more dynamic and cohesive street.
