There's a surprise LEGO minifigure making an unexpected journey in the brick-built Parthenon in Athens' Acropolis Museum.
The Acropolis Museum in Athens, Greece includes a miniature rendering of the Parthenon, made out of 120,000 LEGO bricks. Designed by Ryan McNaught and the result of 300 hours of work, it can be found in the Kids Corner of the museum – along with an unexpected visitor.
rick_and_marty_ on TikTok shared a video of them seeing the LEGO Parthenon display, zooming in on one particular area, tucked away behind some trees. There you can find a LEGO Gandalf minifigure, complete with a horse and cart. It doesn't appear to have been directly pulled from any one set, with Gandalf typically appearing with a brown horse rather than a white one.
It's tricky to see many details in the video of exactly which Gandalf minifigure it is, either, although you can see that it includes his hat – fittingly, as he's travelling the dusty roads of ancient Athens.
The TikTok user quipped that this is an appearance from 'Gandalf the Greek', although there's no further explanation about why he appears in the set. Considering the rest of it seems to be as historically accurate as possible, with regular miniifigures included to give a flavour of life in the city, it's a seemingly random but no less fun inclusion.
