Superman 2025 movie is not expected to inspire any LEGO sets

The latest rumours suggest that the Superman movie coming out in 2025 will not have any LEGO sets based on it, with LEGO DC instead returning to familiar territory.

Warner Bros. is bringing out a new Superman film in 2025, starring David Corenswet as the new face of the superhero. While it's a new era for Clark Kent, that will apparently not make an impact on the LEGO DC line-up for 2025, according to the latest rumours from Instagram user lego_minecraft_goat.

Although the rumours state that there won't be any LEGO DC sets based on Superman the movie, 76302 Superman Mech vs. Lex Luthor has already been revealed and is available to pre-order ahead of its release on January 1. However, that set is not specifically based on the movie but rather a generic version of the superhero and his arch-nemesis.

lego_minecraft_goat also reports that we could return – once again – to the Batcave in 2025, with the rumoured 76304 [Batcave], expected to retail for $99.99 and come out in the summer. LEGO DC is otherwise having a fairly restrained year, so adding one more set to the line-up would be welcome for fans of the theme, even if a slightly repetitive addition.
