The reveal of the new One Piece sets has confirmed that a LEGO Ideas model is a must-have for an expanded Loguetown display.
75642 Showdown with Captain Smoker is based on the short Loguetown arc from the second season of Netflix's One Piece, recreating the style of the Riviera-inspired town but with key One Piece details. The 547-piece model only includes two buildings and a market stall for the expansive town, though.
While it will do for a small shelf-based One Piece display, the LEGO Group has the ideal addition to the new One Piece model for enthusiasts with a bigger budget.
LEGO Ideas 21359 Italian Riviera was released one year before the second wave of One Piece sets is scheduled to launch, continuing the architecture of the town on a much larger scale, and with multiple interiors useful for creating a larger sword shop and recruitment centre.
As we were able to explore with the LEGO Ideas set's gift-with-purchase, there's enough space within the central plaza of 21359 Italian Riviera for a vehicle. The bike in 75642 Showdown with Captain Smoker is smaller than that gift-with-purchase as well.
By combining these two sets, including moving the signs around and displaying the bike in the middle of the LEGO Ideas model, you'll have the perfect Loguetown display. LEGO Ideas 21359 Italian Riviera is available now for £249.99 / $299.99 / €279.99 and will qualify for a free 40907 Restaurants of the World: Mexico until April 19. You can take a closer look at the build in our review.
The 547-piece 75642 Showdown with Captain Smoker will be released on August 1, 2026, for £54.99 / $69.99 / €59.99, alongside the rest of the theme's new sets.
