A fan-made model based on The Simpsons may well struggle if it manages to make its way into the third LEGO Ideas review of 2024.
There are currently 25 different fan-created builds battling it out in the third LEGO Ideas review of 2024. From models based on licensed properties to more traditional designs, each of those existing submissions may well become a physical LEGO set at some point down the road.
However, even with all of the potential of the LEGO Ideas program, some builds still have an uphill struggle ahead of them, even if they do manage to reach the lofty 10K supporters’ mark. A case in point is Springfield Elementary School Simpsons, a 2,612-piece model designed by Airbricks95.

Based on The Simpsons animated show, the LEGO Ideas submission is inching close to 10,000 supporters at the time of this writing and is likely to cross that threshold in the next couple of days.
However, even if it does manage to do so, Springfield Elementary School Simpsons is unlikely to make it any further in the LEGO Ideas judging process. Recent rumours suggest that The Simpsons may well be returning as a LEGO theme in 2025, although any such information should be taken with a large pinch of salt for now.
We’ve already speculated on how The Simpsons might look if it does indeed reappear next year, with characters from the show having previously popped up in 71006 The Simpsons House, LEGO Dimensions packs and two CMF series.

Despite the creativity that's clearly on display in Springfield Elementary School Simpsons, the LEGO Ideas build may well fall down at the next review stage if official sets based on The Simpsons are indeed on the way in 2025.
Still, current support for the fan design does show that there’s still plenty of excitement for The Simpsons as a licensed property, with the long-running show having recently reached its 36th season.
In the meantime, here’s a quick reminder of exactly which 10K fan projects are currently residing in the third LEGO Ideas review of 2024.
