Six LEGO Ideas projects that stand a chance in the third 2024 review

The LEGO Ideas third 2024 review has closed, moving to the judging phase and here are six projects that stand a good chance of getting a set.

With 54 projects to pick from, the LEGO Ideas team have their work cut out for them as part of the third 2024 review and this review round should result in at least one model based on a fan-designed creation. Not all builds are designed equal though and some may have better luck than others in the coming months.

Based on partnerships, what has done well before and what was recently released in LEGO Ideas, here are six LEGO Ideas projects that we think have a decent shot at becoming a future set in the third 2024 review.

Gravity Falls The Mystery Shack

Technically this is two projects, but given that both BrickLumberjack618 and mad.bricks submitted Gravity Falls projects in the third 2024 review, it wouldn't be surprising to see the LEGO Group credit both builders for a Mystery Shack set.

The animated Disney series has proven to be popular with a new book released in 2024 – eight years after the series aired its final episode. We'll have to see whether it's finally time for a LEGO Gravity Falls model in the third 2024 review though as similar projects have been overlooked by the LEGO Ideas team previously.

Overpass Park

LEGO Ideas Overpass Park 1

Given the LEGO Ideas team's approval of 21353 The Botanical Garden, which modified the original design to remove the modular component, we wouldn't be surprised to see them adopt a similar strategy for the Overpass Park by trauma.

This particular creation doesn't need to be modular as the pavement suggests, given that the motorway above would go directly into adjoining buildings. Instead, it would work best as a standalone model representing urban life on a level that LEGO City hasn't been able to so far.

The Eras of Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has been endlessly popular on LEGO Ideas but has yet to be approved for a set. Given the consistent demand, it wouldn't be shocking to see the LEGO Ideas team finally give way in the third 2024 review with The Eras of Taylor Swift by Minibrick Productions.

This minifigure-focused model pays tribute to the various eras of Taylor Swift's career from her debut album to her 10th. The fact that it can be displayed on a wall makes it stand out compared to the other musical sets on LEGO Ideas too.

Cliffside House

LEGO Ideas Cliffside House 2

Red-panda58892's Cliffside House is another interesting pick in the third 2024 review and would translate into a set different enough from 21338 A-Frame Cabin to stand out on LEGO Ideas.

The build is designed with the LEGO Art hook elements to hang on a wall similar to a painting and it offers minifigures a home within your home, adding a touch of LEGO life to any room.

Bob's Burgers

LEGO Ideas Bobs Burgers 2

Bob's Burgers by Greygo seems to be a likely pick for a future LEGO Ideas given the successful track record of standalone sets based on series including 21324 123 Sesame Street, 21316 The Flintstones and more.

Bob's Burgers is more than recognisable enough for a LEGO Ideas set as evidenced by the millions of viewers each episode draws in. Greygo's model depicts the titular restaurant with plenty of Easter eggs that would translate nicely into an official LEGO set, though likely not with the proposed modular building compatibility.

PlayStation 2

LEGO Ideas Sony PlayStation 2 2

After 10306 Atari 2600 and 71374 Nintendo Entertainment System, the LEGO Group's current partnership with PlayStation is ideal for RippleDrive's PlayStation 2 recreation. The build comes complete with memory cards, a controller and the inner electronics.

It's an impressive build that would be something new for LEGO Ideas but align with previous sets in the overall portfolio while making use of the existing partnership with PlayStation.
