First look at new LEGO Halloween Build-a-Minifigure characters

Three spooky new Halloween-themed LEGO characters will be available in the Build-a-Minifigure tower at LEGO Stores from September 1.

The latest batch of minifigures available exclusively in stores will arrive in plenty of time for this year’s spooky season, serving up a mummy, ghost and witch to those of us with a LEGO Store in the vicinity. As revealed by twogayafols over on Instagram, this fresh selection of pieces includes some nifty repurposing of existing pieces with bold new prints, alongside some pretty desirable accessories.

Mummy

First up is this loosely-bandaged mummy, who seems to not have had much budget for his Halloween costume if his threadbare outfit is anything to go by. It’s a unique take on a well-worn trope in LEGO minifigure land, though, and the black cat accessory will no doubt find a forever home with plenty of collectors.

Ghost lady

The new head, torso and dress prints on this ghost lady are convincingly spooky, but the star of the show is easily the mini ghost printed on a tile previously used to represent various spillages (water, acid, ice cream) as well as a fried egg. Genius.

Witch girl

There are new prints galore on this witch girl, too, but while her torso and skirt may pull focus for Halloween fans in September, it’s also nice to see a fresh recolour of the witch’s hat-and-hair piece first introduced in 21341 Disney Hocus Pocus: The Sanderson Sisters’ Cottage and reused in 71047 Dungeons & Dragons.

All of these minifigures should be available to assemble in your local LEGO Store from September 1.
