A viral image of Lewis Hamilton’s first day at Scuderia Ferrari HP has been faithfully recreated in brick form, thanks to a dedicated LEGO Formula 1 fan.
Formula 1 legend Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari has been a huge event for dedicated fans of the motorsport, with a recent social media post of the seven-time World Champion's first day at Maranello racking up a massive 10 million views.
However, the photograph of Hamilton was no mere publicity stunt and was instead a carefully-orchestrated shoot that contained more than a few nods to the storied history of Ferrari. That same attention-to-detail has also gone in to a faithful recreation of the viral image by talented LEGO F1 fan and Instagram user, trippinbricks, with a video of the results posted on X (formerly Twitter).
The video of the build includes the red, white and tan exterior of Enzo Ferrari’s house, used as a backdrop for the photo shoot, with seven windows representing Hamilton’s F1 World Champion wins and a yellow Ferrari flag above the door.
The model also includes 76934 Ferrari F40, with the 318-piece LEGO Speed Champions supercar reflecting the real-life vehicle glimpsed behind Hamilton in the publicity image. Although no official minifigure of Lewis Hamilton has been released to date, the fan builder has created their own custom version of the driver, complete with a finely-tailored Italian menswear look.

“There are some days that you know you’ll remember forever and today,” noted Hamilton at the recent photo shoot, “my first as a Scuderia Ferrari HP driver, is one of those days. I’ve been lucky enough to have achieved things in my career I never thought possible, but part of me has always held on to that dream of racing in red. I couldn’t be happier to realise that dream today."
