The LEGO Group’s brand new party game Brick Like This! is now available to buy from the official online store and third-party retailers.
Brick Like This! is an officially-licensed version of designer Luca Bellini’s 2015 board game Brick Party, which is essentially the same concept but with an assortment of generic construction bricks instead of actual LEGO elements. The new version brings in authentic LEGO bricks and a fresh coat of paint, and is the second game released in conjunction with Dotted Games following last year’s Monkey Palace.
The game divides players into teams of builders and instructors and tasks them with recreating a shape prompted on a card. The twist is that the builder cannot see the shape, so the instructor has to describe it to them as best they can. The fastest team to successfully build the shape on their card wins the round. There are multiple difficulty levels across the cards, with tougher challenges scoring higher points.
While Brick Like This! is first and foremost a team game for four players or more, there are also rules for a version that can accommodate two or three players, who must race to complete the most builds within 10 minutes. The box includes 92 shape cards, 20 challenge cards for an additional level of difficulty for experienced players, 48 LEGO bricks, an hourglass timer and a rule book.
Brick Like This! retails for £22.99 in the UK, $19.99 in the US and from €26.99 in Europe and is available now from LEGO.com. You can also find it at Amazon in the UK for £19.99, offering a modest saving on the RRP.
