The LEGO Group is rumoured to be following up 31213 Mona Lisa with another da Vinci-inspired set in 2025, this time under the LEGO Icons banner.
BrickTastic reports that 10363 Leonardo da Vinci’s Flying Machine will hit shelves in early 2025 for around €49.99, with 493 pieces in the box. That would make it one of the smaller and cheaper 18+ sets under the Icons banner, in line with previous rumours that have pointed towards a more affordable adult-targeted assortment in the first half of 2025.
While BrickTastic is an as-yet-unproven source, their previous rumours – including a first list of LEGO Speed Champions 2025 sets – have been corroborated by more reliable sources, giving them a little more credibility. Given a once-reliable source in FanKlockow has just published a bunch of apparently fake rumours, though, it’s definitely worth remembering to take any and all rumours of future products with a grain of salt.
If this one does transpire as expected, the set will apparently include a brick-built model of one of the Italian inventor’s flying machines on a black stand, complete with a mechanism for the wings to move (suggesting it will specifically depict his glider) – perhaps in the same vein as 76406 Hungarian Horntail Dragon – and a Leonardo da Vinci minifigure. It would be the artist’s first representation in minifigure form, but not his first reference in a LEGO set in recent months.
