Fans think LEGO NINJAGO is in Fortnite chapter seven teaser

As Fortnite's Battle Royale mode ramps up to a new chapter, eager fans think they've spotted part of LEGO NINJAGO in the first teaser.

Fortnite's Zero Hour event is coming this weekend, and Epic Games is starting to tease what will come after the event – the seventh chapter of the Battle Royale mode. The first teaser for Chapter 7 features several new skins that will likely be featured in either the Battle Pass or shop next chapter, including Beatrix Kiddo, also known as the Bride from Kill Bill, Marty McFly from Back to the Future and what many online believe to be NINJAGO's Nunchucks of Lightning.

The screen at the bottom of the teaser fixes briefly before glitching out, revealing a clear shot of a character holding a pair of golden, dragon-headed nunchucks in an iconic action pose associated with the weapon. These bear a striking resemblance to the Nunchucks of Lightning, usually wielded by Jay in NINJAGO.

Fans online have immediately noticed this small part of the teaser, drawing a connection between Fortnite chapter seven and NINJAGO, especially given the LEGO Group's massive partnership with Epic Games. With NINJAGO about to celebrate 15 years of life in 2026, and Fortnite chapters typically lasting 90 days, that would put two-thirds of Chapter 7 squarely in NINJAGO's 15th anniversary year.

"I suppose that confirms the Ninja probably won’t be exclusive to the LEGO mode, which is fantastic," commented DefinitelyNotVenom on Reddit. "Considering the nunchucks aren’t cel-shaded either, the skins probably won’t be (which rules out Epic trying to adapt the official non-Lego designs)

Though the design is similar to the NINJAGO nunchucks, some fans have spotted that the pose indicates that the lightning would be coming out of the rear of each dragon, rather than the mouth. This wouldn't necessarily be inaccurate, since the mouth-focused design has been eschewed in the sets and when the four weapons were reforged.

There are many nunchuck pickaxes in Fortnite already, and these dragon-headed ones may be an original design not associated with NINJAGO, and the eyes appear to be red instead of blue. It's too early to tell if NINJAGO is coming to Fortnite, as excited as enthusiasts are online. This is at least another excuse to tune in to Zero Hour this weekend on November 29, at 11:00am PT / 2:00pm ET.

With a pinch of salt at your side just in case, it's worth noting that rumours of a NINJAGO collaboration within Fortnite with Battle Royale cosmetics have been swirling for some time, dating back over one year ago, and then resurfacing very recently. Treat these as you would LEGO rumours, with plenty of caution until Epic Games makes an official announcement regarding the seventh chapter.

For now, the future of NINJAGO is only confirmed to feature an anniversary Blacksmith set, and Fortnite's current focus is on a season all about The Simpsons.
